1. Mission:

To develop Faculty of Telecommunications 1 into a unit that trains high-quality, well-rounded technical human resources, meeting societal demands in the fields of Electronics and Telecommunications, Data Engineering, and IoT Technology; to create a dynamic, professional, and high-quality learning and research environment that enables students to maximize their creative potential; to become a leading center for scientific research and technology and knowledge transfer at the national, regional, and global levels; and to serve as a trusted partner in research and training collaboration with domestic and international enterprises

Vision toward 2030

By 2030, Faculty of Telecommunications 1 aims to become a key national hub for education and research, with a strong reputation in Southeast Asia in the following areas:

  • Electronics, Telecommunications, and future communication technologies, including 5G/6G, non-terrestrial communications, and intelligent network systems.
  • Data Engineering and Artificial Intelligence, focusing on analytics, machine learning, and next-generation intelligent systems.
  • IoT technology and smart connected ecosystems, supporting digital transformation and the development of a digital society.

The Faculty plays a core role in enhancing the Academy’s research and training capacity, contributing to positioning PTIT as a reputable university in the region. It is committed to building an advanced academic environment, a modern laboratory ecosystem, strong industry collaboration, and fostering innovation in education, research, and technology transfer.

Vision toward 2035

By 2035, Faculty of Telecommunications 1 aspires to become a leading research and innovation center in Asia in advanced digital technologies, driving breakthroughs in:

  • 6G communications and sustainable communications, including AI-native networks, non-terrestrial networks, and satellite communications.
  • Next-generation Artificial Intelligence and Big Data, serving autonomous systems, intelligent learning, and cross-domain applications.
  • Sustainable IoT and comprehensive smart connectivity, applied in industry, smart cities, and daily life.

The Faculty aims to build an innovation ecosystem connecting enterprises, universities, and research institutes; expand international collaboration; and make significant contributions to elevating the Academy’s position on the regional education and research map.
