On the morning of May 9th, 2025, the seminar “5G Security – Telecom Cybersecurity Threat Landscape and Nokia’s Approach” took place successfully at Hall A2 – Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT), Hanoi, with the participation of two leading international speakers in the field of cybersecurity and wireless communication.

Main contents of the event:

– Update on the overview of cybersecurity threats in the telecommunications sector, from financially motivated attack groups to state actors using sophisticated techniques such as APTs and zero-day exploits.
Presentation of Nokia’s security strategy and advanced approach in protecting 5G network systems.
Discussion of future trends in network security in the 6G era and the role of AI/ML in system optimization and protection.

Speakers:

Mr. Srinivasan Kannaiyan – Head of Cybersecurity Consulting, Nokia Asia Pacific, shared insights on threat response strategies and Nokia’s vision in building secure network systems for service providers.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Diep N. Nguyen – Head of the 5G/6G Laboratory, University of Technology Sydney (UTS, Australia), presented on 6G security research directions, UAV detection techniques, anti-jamming, and shared experiences in international research-industry collaboration.
